Initially starting one day a week increasing as the business grows.
£6.08/hr - aged 21 and over
£4.98/hr - aged 18-20
£3.68/hr - aged 16-17
£2.60/hr - for apprentices under 19 or 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship
Position Description:
To improve the search engine position and increase website traffic for Motive9 clients using onsite optimisation, offsite link building techniques and pay per click systems.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Improve Motive9 clients’ search engine positions and increase their traffic.
- Increase the number of links to Motive9 clients’ websites.
- Investigate and implement new areas where relevant links can be sought.
- Optimise websites for search engines.
- Increase ROI for pay per click clients
Primary Objectives:
- Keep up to date with search engine strategies
- Document successes to use with other campaigns
- Trial and implement software to improve the success and quantity of links.
- Work towards a google certified adword specialist.
- Help in the building and delivering of SEO training courses
Specific Responsibilities of the Job
- Improve Motive9 clients’ search engine positions and increase their traffic.
By keyword analysis, statistical analysis and conversion analytics. - Increase the number of links to Motive9 clients’ websites.
By using software provided by Motive9 to increase and log the links coming into websites. Scheduling and regular link building activities are required for each client.
Reports will be required for work done and results achieved. - Investigate and implement new areas where relevant links can be sought.
Through use of new and existing software. Adding to the Motive9 lists of directories. Continual Internet research to find new and better link building techniques. May require sector specific online social networking. - Optimise websites for search engines
To learn and implement, or recommend changes to websites not under our control, optimisation techniques which improve search engine positions. - Increase ROI for pay per click clients
Learn and implement payper click techniques. Setting up accounts and delivering ROI for clients
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The employee must be analytical, have an investigative nature and be good with maths. Be good with English in order to produce legible and understandable reports and training documentation.

Physical Demands
The majority of the work is based sitting in front of a computer. Quite a lot of work is done using mouse and keyword. The user will be using two screens but there is no issue with colour blindness.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to visitors and clients so smart appearance is essential. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The employee’s workstation will be in an office with at least one other employee. The offices are newly refurbished, clean and customer focused.
Conclusion
This job is very analytical in its approach. Techniques used with one client are passed onto other clients. Knowledge in search engine promotion is found by experience and also by investigating what works for others.
