Google Keyword Insertions
If you are new to Google Adwords, a seasoned professional or just curious this may interest you. Keyword insertions are an advanced technique which have proved to be very sccessful for converting leads and sales.
Keyword Insertions are quite easy to implement. Let us assume that you have an adgroup called "PlumberMK". Your keywords for this adgroup include variations such as:
- Plumber Milton Keynes
- Plumbers Milton Keynes
- Plumber in Milton Keynes
- Plumbers in Milton Keynes
By including in the title or description of your advert, the code {KeyWord: PlumberMK}, then the keyword that the user has typed will appear in your advert text. Note the capitalisation, the Capital on the K and W measn each word should be capitalised when shown.
This improves the click through rate of your advert (Click Through Rate - CTR - The number of times a user clicks on your advert compared to the number of times your advert has been seen).We can take this further by adding ?kw={KeyWord:PlumberMK} to the end of the destination url. Your websmater will then be able to add some code to your website that will know what the keyword the user has searched is and be able to display this on your web page.

The scent trail is in tact and you have a better chance of converting your website browser.
